A new biodegradable stretch film and recycled plastic tins make product packaging even more sustainable

Eptainks commitment to environment takes another step forward, with changes also in the product packaging.

Following the first inks developed from renewable and primary biological sources, the BIO inks, and the product certifications, Eco Passport and ZDHC, the company's sustainability is now also reflected in the choice of packaging materials.

In our warehouses a new biodegradable stretch film originating from vegetable polymers, which guarantees the same high quality and resistance of the traditional film, is used for the shipments packaging. It also maintains the same stability to temperature and humidity/salinity, and the same tensioning and memory capacity; even the weight in use remains the same. The film is biodegradable in 12 months, with a significant saving in terms of plastic waste produced and put into circulation.

Another step in the direction of sustainability is the adoption of 100% recycled plastic tins, until now used only for BIO inks, for textile inks in 5kg packs.

An important investment for the company, but at the same time a real action to protect the environment.
